Boston University School of Public Health Annual School Survey

Each year, the Boston University School of Public Health (BUSPH) conducts an annual internal review to optimize how they are working. A crucial aspect of this review is the School Survey. The School Survey is meant to “take the pulse” of the BUSPH community and obtain feedback to identify key strengths and areas of improvement. Questions in the annual survey are roughly the same every year to ensure that trends can be monitored over time. Both internal and external stakeholders are included in the sample: current students, alumni, faculty, staff, and employer/practicum supervisors.

In 2021, BUSPH partnered with NORC to administer the annual community survey. In collaboration with BUSPH leadership, NORC will review the 2020 survey code, make recommendations for refinement of the instrument, and systematically test the online survey. After data collection, NORC will prepare and securely deliver a survey data file with a report of key findings and appropriate documentation. To ensure complete confidentiality, NORC will remove all personally identifiable information from the data file and report only aggregated statistics to protect individual respondents’ identities. Data collection for the 2021 survey is expected to begin at the beginning of October 2021 and conclude in early November 2021.
