A. Elizabeth Allen is a senior statistician with NORC at the University of Chicago. She is responsible for sample design and weighting and estimation on a variety of surveys. She has over 20 years of experience as a survey statistician working on many aspects of survey methodology.
Allen has provided support for a variety of surveys and projects, such as the 2014-2015 Nationwide Adult Medicaid Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) and the National Immunization Survey (NIS) suite of projects. She is responsible for sample designs, daily sample management needs, and providing clients with recommendations. Additionally, she has been responsible for creating and implementing imputation and weighting plans for most of her projects. She has experience with weighting and estimation for multi-frame and multi-mode surveys.
Prior to joining NORC, Allen worked at IMS, where she was involved in projects that encompassed sample management, weighting and estimation of prescription dispensation and usage, as well as consulting projects related to the pharmaceutical industry such as physician targeting for pharmaceutical sales representatives.
Allen has presented at a number of conferences, including the American Statistical Association, the Federal Committee on Statistical Methods Research Conference, American Association of Public Opinion Research Annual Conference, and the American Immunization Registry Association. Allen has presented on a range of topics, such as weighting and estimation, non-response analysis, and sample management techniques.
