Kerstin directs large, complex research projects as an experienced project management professional. She develops a deep understanding of clients’ strategic challenges and a situational awareness to provide insightful perspectives and ideas. Kerstin serves as project director for the Chicago Public Safety DataHub, a public tool that equips Chicago residents and policymakers with clear, data-driven insight into public safety. The DataHub integrates public and proprietary data into interactive dashboards paired with expert commentary to promote transparency and accountability in efforts to improve safety across the city. In this role, she provided health care and public health intelligence to local, state, and national clients and proficiently executed projects with varied research methodologies, including survey research, in-depth interviewing, focus groups, statistical analysis, secondary research, and human-centered design. Most recently, Kerstin worked on an innovative technology that used artificial intelligence to collect rich data from behavioral health care patients that clinicians could use to identify emerging risks and tier patient needs by acuity to improve patient care and prevent future high-cost episodes of care. Lastly, Kerstin taught a class on statistical analysis as an adjunct professor at Brigham Young University in 2021 and 2022.
