She has also presented at national and local conferences on literacy practices within federal grants and instructional models that align with local teaching practices and community values.
Before joining NORC, Erin worked at McREL International, where she led and supported REL Pacific research and technical assistance projects on literacy instruction, teacher development, and school improvement. She has contributed to the development of Hawaii’s state literacy plan, and her writing has appeared in federal research blogs and professional evaluation forums, including the Institute of Education Sciences and the American Evaluation Association. Erin’s work reflects a commitment to strengthening student achievement through practical, data-informed approaches that respect local priorities and build educator capacity.
