With over 68 million residents, the Hispanic and Latino segment of the U.S. population has become increasingly important to fully understanding the broad spectrum of American life.
In the past, research with Hispanic and Latino populations was often challenging and expensive, due to language barriers, household mobility, shrinking reliance on landline phones, less use of the internet, and privacy concerns. Today, AmeriSpeak Latino offers the most economical, reliable, and accurate measurements of Hispanic and Latino populations in the U.S.
In addition to the features on which AmeriSpeak is built—extensive sample coverage, straightforward methodology, and superior response rate—our Latino Panel offers:
- Multi-Mode: AmeriSpeak allows panelists to take surveys by web or phone, whichever they prefer. Multi-mode panels are far better at representing Hispanic and Latino populations than online-only panels.
- Respondent Experience: Our English- and Spanish-speaking panel support team provides strong customer service to our panelists, assures privacy, is culturally sensitive, and allows clients to efficiently conduct their research in both Spanish and English with ease.
- Fluent Interviewers: NORC's telephone and operations centers, located in Chicago and Albuquerque, provide the AmeriSpeak Panel with full in-language capabilities and support. We ensure that our outreach efforts take into consideration the full breadth of Hispanic America and are always sensitive to concerns about respondent confidentiality.
At the time of registration, AmeriSpeak Latino panelists are asked to provide demographic information that is particularly useful to clients who conduct research of Hispanic and Latino populations, including:
- Country or area of origin (Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba, South America, etc.)
- Overall acculturation level
- Level of English literacy
- Level of English spoken fluency
- Language primarily spoken at home
- Language used to consume media
