CHICAGO, July 10, 2025 — NORC at the University of Chicago is pleased to announce that McREL International’s current research and evaluation projects—and five key staff members—have joined NORC’s Education & Child Development department. McREL is a non-profit, nonpartisan education research organization that since 1966 has turned knowledge about what works in education into practical, effective guidance and training for teachers and education leaders across the United States and around the world.

This move ensures that these important projects will continue within NORC and contribute to critical education research.

“We are excited to welcome McREL’s experts and their deep background in evidence-based education improvements to NORC,” said Jennifer Hamilton, senior vice president of Education & Child Development at NORC. “Their strengths in bridging research and practice will be instrumental in advancing our work to support educators, learners, and decision-makers nationwide.”
