Larry L. Bye Appointed NORC Senior Fellow
CHICAGO—NORC at the University of Chicago announced today the appointment of Larry L. Bye as Senior Fellow in NORC’s Public Health Research department.

Bye has more than 30 years of experience designing and evaluating marketing campaigns and conducting policy and behavioral research with subject matter expertise in public health, alternative transportations, environmental protection, and the arts. His survey research expertise encompasses sample design, measurement, data collection, and sensitive topic and difficult-to-access population projects.
Most recently Vice President and Senior Research Director at Field Research Corporation, Bye has also founded and operated highly successful San Francisco Bay Area research consulting practices Communication Sciences (CSG) and Research & Decisions Corporation.
Bye is in demand as a speaker and has published on both his research and survey methodology. A selected list of past clients includes the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the American Red Cross, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Division of AIDS, Sesame Workshop, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The California Endowment, the Guttmacher Institute, Network for a Healthy California, the State of California Department of Public Health and Department of Health Services, the State of California Public Utilities Commission, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, the City of Oakland (CA), Drew University School of Medicine and Science, the University of California-San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Bye is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA), the American Association for Public Opinion Research (AAPOR), and the American Marketing Association. He is a past-president of the American Social Marketing Association.
Larry L. Bye earned his M.A. in Political Science from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota.
