Searching for tools used to evaluate early care and education (ECE) consumer education strategies

The Consumer Education and Parental Choice in Early Care and Education project is searching for tools used to evaluate early care and education (ECE) consumer education strategies. ECE consumer education strategies are activities that help parents select early care education.  

The information you share will inform the project funded by the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation within the Administration for Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

    We invite you to share relevant materials. Examples include:

    • Tools used to evaluate the quality and reach of ECE consumer education information dissemination strategies
    • Tools used to evaluate the usefulness of specific ECE consumer education strategies or approaches
    • Questionnaires or surveys used to document parent perspectives about the value of specific ECE consumer education strategies
    • Questionnaires or surveys used to document parents’ perspectives on the quality of information provided in ECE consumer education materials
    • Tools that evaluate whether ECE consumer education strategies are effective or that do a particularly good job of evaluating specific features of ECE consumer education approaches
    • Assessment and evaluation tools that have been most helpful to you in evaluating your ECE consumer education practices

    Submitted materials may be referenced in publicly available documents developed during the course of the project. This work is being led by NORC at the University of Chicago and the Urban Institute, in partnership with Child Care Aware of America (CCAoA).
