Susan Ryan

Senior Research Director II

Susan leads education research programs and has deep expertise in K-12 academic and career standards.

Susan is senior consultant with deep experience managing a wide variety of education research programs and studies. She contributes to NORC’s Education & Child Development department by supporting research and technical assistance projects that help educators use data to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. Her work focuses on delivering seamless training, coaching, and research projects to government and education agencies across the Pacific region and in the continental United States.

Her recent contributions include work with the Regional Educational Laboratory (REL) Pacific, where she managed all aspects of budget, scope, staffing, and reporting for a large-scale contract with the Institute of Education Sciences. Over the past decade working on REL Pacific, Susan has developed and improved systems to meet specific and dynamic program requirements. She has enabled the delivery of quality, on-time, and on-budget services simultaneously across dozens of complex inter-related projects.
