Harry Davis
Harry earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and an MBA in marketing from Dartmouth College. He holds a master’s degree in sociology and a PhD in marketing from Northwestern University. He joined the faculty of the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago in 1963 and has played many roles throughout his career including Deputy Dean for MBA programs. His research and teaching interests include topics in the areas of leadership, strategy, creativity and innovation. Davis served as a trustee for the National Opinion Research Center from 1997 to 2021. The Harry L. Davis Center for Leadership was founded in 2010. It is an incubator, a proving ground for generating new insights about leadership that impact education, practice, and discovery for future generations of students and alumni. The Center provides courses and programs that encourage experimentation, reflection and lifelong learning.
