Under contract with the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), NORC at the University of Chicago is conducting a study on aging services technology. This study is mandated by the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
This study includes an evaluation of health technologies that can meet the need of seniors, methods for fostering scientific innovation with respect to aging services technology, and developments in aging services technologies from other countries that can be used in the United States. NORC will also identify barriers to innovation and adoption of aging services technologies.
