Dr. Ashani Johnson-Turbes is an experienced research and evaluation scientist with over 17 years of experience conducting social and behavioral science research and evaluation studies.
Johnson-Turbes’ experience blends her academic background in political science, political behavior and public policy with years of work in health policy, public health, health marketing and communication and evaluation. She is skilled in conduct of formative, process and outcome evaluation of public health campaigns and interventions to improve public health and well-being, particularly for marginalized populations.
Johnson-Turbes has expertise in participatory and deliberative models for public engagement, research with vulnerable populations, health disparities, culturally responsive research and evaluation, and qualitative and mixed methods. She has presented her work at numerous national conferences and is published in peer reviewed journals.
