CHICAGO, July 10, 2026 — NORC at the University of Chicago today announced that Prashila Dullabh and John Roman have been named distinguished senior fellows, the highest distinction for NORC researchers.
The distinguished senior fellow distinction honors senior fellows who demonstrate an enduring commitment to advancing NORC’s mission and whose accomplishments have contributed to organizational growth, innovation, thought leadership, and client impact.
Over the last 20 years, Dullabh has made significant contributions across multiple research departments and helped advance NORC’s strategic mission. She has helped position NORC as a recognized leader in implementation science, digital health, and patient-centered outcomes research.
As director of the Health Implementation Science Center, she has overseen a body of work over the last four years that includes more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, 160 published reports, and 60 conference presentations. She is also an active participant in expert panels and industry convenings.
Over the past decade, Roman has played a central role in strengthening NORC’s leadership in public safety and justice research. Roman leads the Center on Public Safety & Justice, which brings together expertise from across NORC to deliver data-driven insights and tools for policymakers and practitioners, including the Chicago Public Safety DataHub.
Roman’s work spans both rigorous research and real-world application. As principal investigator of Harms After a Victimization: Experience & Needs (HAVEN), he advanced new approaches to measuring the cost of crime. He also led an expert panel on firearms data infrastructure that expanded NORC’s role in informing policy discussions about complex public safety issues.
