NORC Albuquerque Center Announces New Telephone Interviewer Positions to Support COVID-19 Data Collection
Albuquerque, April 13, 2021 – NORC at the University of Chicago is hiring employees to play a key role in the nation’s effort to understand the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of these new positions will be work-from-home, and some will be in the company’s state-of-the-art telephone survey center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The work will support a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) effort about the COVID-19 vaccine.
“NORC has been conducting the National Immunization Survey (NIS) on behalf of the CDC for more than 15 years. In addition to the important research on childhood vaccines, NORC will now help the CDC with its adult survey on the COVID-19 vaccine,” said Missy Nachbar, NORC’s NIS project director. “This invaluable work for the CDC is happening right now in Wichita’s own backyard at NORC’s call center near Eubank and I-40.”
As part of the NIS, NORC will hire additional staff to survey adults across all 50 states, Puerto Rico, USVI, and Guam, on COVID-19 vaccination uptake and attitudes toward the vaccine.
“We’re looking to hire friendly and personable individuals as interviewers who can talk to people on the phone about whether they have gotten the COVID-19 vaccine and their thoughts around the COVID-19 vaccination more generally,” said Annette Griego, call center manager at NORC. “If you or someone you know is looking for work that matters, NORC is offering flexible, part-time jobs that work well for college students, retirees, or someone just looking to supplement their income.” .
These positions offer competitive pay, flexible hours, a friendly work environment, and opportunities for work from home and/or advancement. For more information, visit: http://workthatmatters.norc.org.
