As vice president of Accounting, Simer oversees the full range of accounting management activities at NORC, including the day-to-day accounting operations, formulating internal controls, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations and accounting guidelines.

Prior to joining NORC, Simer led accounting operations for a 50+ member team across three divisions as a deputy director at the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). Simer has also held leadership positions at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and USDA - Forest Service. She led initiatives that improved month-end close processes, automated processes, and strengthened compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Simer brings extensive experience leading general ledger operations, developing high-performing teams, and delivering accurate and compliant financial reporting.
