Emily Fritzson
Emily is a senior research director in NORC’s Health Sciences department, where she leads technology‑enabled research initiatives that support large-scale health data collection and participant engagement. She specializes in translating program and user needs into practical system requirements and workflows, bringing experience in product coordination, user‑centered design, and cross‑functional team leadership. Emily is skilled at navigating complex stakeholder environments and guiding teams through iterative development to ensure digital tools align with research protocols, operational realities, and participant experience goals.
At NORC, Emily plays a key leadership role in the All of Us Research Program through the NIH‑funded Participant and Partner Services Center (PPSC). She has led major product and operational efforts for the All of Us Program Management Platform (APMP), including the development and launch of pediatric workflows, modernization of cross‑agency staff personas, enhancement review and release coordination processes, and user acceptance testing. Emily regularly represents NORC in client‑facing discussions with NIH and site partners, helping ensure platform features and decisions support program requirements and evolving user needs.
Prior to joining NORC, Emily conducted applied health research at the University of Connecticut and the University of Delaware on topics including cancer survivorship, mental health, aging, and language development. She led participant recruitment and longitudinal data collection for a $3.3M National Cancer Institute-funded resilience study, served as a co‑investigator on a COVID‑19 mental health project, and managed large research labs conducting behavioral and neuroimaging studies. Across these roles, she oversaw IRB compliance, complex data workflows, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
