USDA ERS Data Enclave

‚ÄčThe Economic Research Service (ERS) and the National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS), in coordination with the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) utilize the Data Enclave to provide authorized researchers secure remote access to data collected as part of the Agriculture Resource Management Survey (ARMS), the primary source of information to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the public on a broad range of issues about U.S. agricultural resource use, costs, and farm sector financial conditions.

USDA also utilizes the Data Enclave to provide authorized researchers secure access to June Area Survey data and other data as needed. In addition, authorized researchers have access to data collected through the National Household Food Acquisition and Purchase Survey (FoodAPS), the first nationally representative survey of American households to collect unique and comprehensive data about household food purchases and acquisitions. Detailed information is made available to authorized researchers in the Data Enclave, e.g., foods purchased or otherwise acquired for consumption at home and away from home, and foods acquired through food and nutrition assistance programs.
