Multi-mode Data Collection

NORC has been on the forefront of designing and fielding multi-mode surveys that include mail, telephone, web, and in-person interviewing.  New sampling frames such as the Delivery Sequence File (DSF), a complete address listing generated by the U.S. Postal Service, provide NORC with a launching point for sophisticated administration of surveys that employ a variety of methods to reach and interview respondents.  NORC’s state-of-the-art case management system and computerized interviewing software allow for efficient and careful case flow from mode to mode to ensure seamless questionnaire administration and data base development.   Additionally, NORC’s methodologists conduct sophisticated questionnaire testing to ensure comparability among modes of administration.
