Decentralized Interviewing

NORC’s sophisticated telephone center technology enables decentralized interviewing to be conducted by interviewers working in their homes.  Through our highly secure infrastructure, remote interviewers use a CATI system that is managed and monitored centrally.  The benefits of a decentralized interviewing team include easy expansion for rapid turnaround surveys, disaster recovery should something happen to our centralized facility (such as a flu outbreak), and staffing interviewers in the same location as respondents.  The same quality as a centralized operation is ensured by “instant chat” functionality for communication with supervisors, recording of all interviews regardless of location, and rigorous statistical review of collected data and paradata.
