Jeff Leintz Joins NORC at the University of Chicago as Vice President of the Advance Data Solutions Center

Press Release

CHICAGO, Sept. 29, 2020 — Jeff Leintz has been named vice president of the Advance Data Solutions Center (ADS Center) at NORC at the University of Chicago. In this role, Leintz oversees NORC’s growing array of full-cycle data services, including data management, computational science, and informatics solutions. He manages all areas of business development, client engagement, portfolio management, operations, and product development for the ADS Center.

“Jeff has been instrumental in supporting NORC’s dedication to rigorous data management and analysis,” said Ron Jurek, chief information officer and executive vice president at NORC. “We look forward to seeing his leadership continue to bolster NORC’s work in this space and beyond.”

As the head of the ADS Center, Leintz is in a unique position to influence the vision, direction, and growth of the Center’s professional services and product offerings—like the NORC Data Enclave®, used by public and private organizations that require cutting-edge data security options, high-performance research computing technologies, and advanced analytics.

“It’s great to be back at NORC in this capacity, especially now as the world is in this pivotal moment,” said Leintz, who held a number of positions with NORC from 2003-2012. “Now more than ever it’s critical that our clients have access to trusted data and information they need to make an impact.”

With more than 20 years of experience both in the armed forces and in corporate environments, Leintz is a seasoned leader and trusted advisor adept at organizing teams and optimizing their success. His ability to quickly connect with varied audiences, establish trust, and communicate complex business and technical subjects has been a key differentiator of success throughout his career.

Prior to rejoining NORC in 2020, Leintz held various client-facing and leadership positions providing management consulting services to public and private sector clients in the health care, human services, social science research, and insurance industries. In his experience, Leintz has supported and led both large and small-scale implementations for commercial and government clients, including several state health care, human service, and IT agencies.

“Jeff has been instrumental in supporting NORC’s dedication to rigorous data management and analysis.”
