The 143rd American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting
and Exposition will be held at the McCormick Place in Chicago,
IL, from October 30 to November 4, 2015. NORC will be in attendance, with a number of
presentations and sessions.
This year's Annual Meeting theme is "Health in All Policies," and events will focus on how the environments in which people live, work, learn and play have a tremendous impact on their health.
Visit NORC at booth number 1822.
NORC experts who will be attending APHA's Annual Meeting this year include
Louise Hawkley,
Michael Meit, and others.
There will be approximately a thousand sessions to attend, and over 12,000 public health professionals in attendance. Responsibility for the social determinants of health falls to many
nontraditional health partners, such as housing, transportation,
education, air quality, parks, criminal justice, energy, and employment
agencies. Public health agencies and organizations will need to work
with those who are best positioned to create policies (legal and
regulatory) and practices that promote healthy communities and
environments and secure the many co-benefits that can be attained
through healthy public policy.
