​Edward J. Mulrow is senior vice president of the Statistics and Methodology department for NORC at the University of Chicago. Mulrow is an Accredited Professional Statistician™ and Fellow of the American Statistical Association. He has responsibility for sample design, sample selection, and the analysis of complex survey data and administrative records data for government and public interest projects. Edward J. Mulrow is senior vice president of the Statistics and Methodology department for NORC at the University of Chicago. Mulrow is an Accredited Professional Statistician™ and Fellow of the American Statistical Association. He has responsibility for sample design, sample selection, and the analysis of complex survey data and administrative records data for government and public interest projects. Mulrow has 25 years of statistical consulting experience.

Mulrow is the project director for the National Children's Study Data Linkages project, the purpose of which is to identify and evaluate various data sources to advance the NCS goal of studying potential relationships between environmental measures and children's health and development. Additionally, he is serving as the sampling task lead for Nationwide Adult Medicaid CAHPS survey, a project designed to capture baseline national and state-level estimates of adult Medicaid enrollees' experiences .

Prior to joining NORC, Mulrow was a Director in the National Economic Consulting Group, Washington National Tax Services office, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, and prior to that was a Senior Manage in the Quantitative Economics and Statistics Group at Ernst & Young LLP. His work included the development and use of statistical sampling in support of tax reporting for the filing of current and amended returns, develop performance measure comparisons for a regional telephone company.

Mulrow and NORC colleagues published an Annals of Applied Statistics article describing the methodology used to estimate that amount of unaccounted for money belonging to individuals Indians in the Indian Trust. The estimate has been used by the U.S. District court as part of settlement in a long standing court case of individual Indian account holders.

In 2014 Mulrow was elected a Fellow of the American Statistical Association (ASA). He is currently serving on the ASA's Committee on Gay and Lesbian Concerns in Statistics.
