Community College Student Follow-up Survey

NORC has been contracted to field a survey on behalf of the City University of New York (CUNY) to evaluate outcomes of former students who have attended six of the seven CUNY Community Colleges, including:

  • Bronx Community College
  • Queensborough Community College
  • Borough of Manhattan Community College
  • Kingsborough Community College
  • LaGuardia Community College
  • Hostos Community College

Founded in 1847, The City University of New York is one of the largest urban public universities in the USA, with over 270,000 students enrolled each year across its campuses. The University includes 11 senior colleges, seven community colleges, The Macaulay Honors College and five graduate and professional schools, located throughout the city’s five boroughs. CUNY’s seven community colleges provide a high-quality education through associate degree programs that prepare students for transfer to senior colleges or entry into professional careers. For more information, visit: www.cuny.edu.

In spring/summer 2017, NORC will field a web-based survey to former CUNY community college students and alumni. The survey will ask about employment and career paths after community college as well as the kind of academic, career, and advisory support the students received while they were enrolled. The results of this survey will be used by CUNY administrators and advisors to better serve their students and help them attain their immediate and long-term degree goals.
