Tracey Coldewey Named Enterprise Architect for NORC at the University of Chicago

Press Release

CHICAGO, Nov. 18, 2016—Tracey Coldewey has been named Enterprise Architect for the independent research organization NORC at the University of Chicago.

In this senior-level technology position, Coldewey will collaborate with NORC’s information technology (IT) staff members and across the firm’s business units to capture strategic needs and ensure alignment of NORC’s business goals and technology solutions. This involves coordination, high-level review, strategic planning, developing architecture roadmaps, and making recommendations involving multiple systems designed to advance NORC’s business objectives.

“NORC is an organization that is highly dependent on IT systems that enable our research teams to carry out the analysis of complex datasets and preparation of reports based upon that data that are clear, accurate, and accessible,” said Ronald J. Jurek, Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations at NORC.  “Tracey Coldewey brings to this important work an impressive track record of accomplishment in enterprise architecture leadership.”

For the past seven years, Coldewey has been an independent enterprise architect, working with multiple clients on IT strategy and architecture assignments, including needs assessments, technology roadmaps, as well as architecture solutions and implementation. From 2001 to 2009, she worked for ABN AMRO Services Company in Chicago, rising to the position of first vice president of global enterprise architecture, responsible primarily for IT strategy in support of the firm’s major global initiatives. Earlier she worked in IT positions for Xpedior and Accenture, both located in Chicago.

A resident of Evanston, IL, Coldewey is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor of science in management.
