The Olympian (Washington) mentioned the Washington State Achievers program in a story about a local school, St. Martin's University.  The August 27, 2007 story noted that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation donated about $500,000 to high-achieving low income students who attend the school.  NORC evaluates the Washington State Achievers program on behalf of the foundation.
