Poetry: The Moneyed Muse
In its February 19, 2007 issue,
The New Yorker
magazine referred to the Poetry in America Survey, conducted by NORC for the Poetry Foundation last year. The article described the history of the Poetry foundation and noted that the recent survey cost $700,000. The survey found that ninety percent of Americans value poetry.
