Funds Available for Study of Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation

The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation announced on November 2, 2007 that it will make funding available to scholars and researchers studying entrepreneurship, innovation, and related topics.  Funding recipients will be able to access its Kauffman Firm Survey (KFS), a unique source of firm-level data available through the NORC Data Enclave.  Award amounts are up to $10,000 for individual researchers and up to $20,000 for research teams.  The deadline to apply is January 15, 2008.  More information is available on the Foundation's website.


On a related note, the National Institute for Standards and Technology's Technology and Innovation Program and NORC announced on November 2, 2007 the availability of research funding in amounts up to $25,000 to study technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship through the NORC Data Enclave.  Award categories include dissertations, database improvements, and methodological enhancements.  The deadline for applying is December 31, 2007.  For more information, visit the NORC Data Enclave site.
