Childhood Vaccination Coverage for 2004/2005 Flu Season

The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published an article (vol. 297:3) based on data from the National Immunization Survey (NIS) in its January 17, 2007 issue.  Researchers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) used data collected last year by NORC telephone interviewers to form estimates of vaccination coverage rates among young children.  The NIS is an ongoing, random-digit-dialed telephone survey of households, followed by a mail survey of all of the children's vaccination providers to obtain vaccination data.
