The news outlets Morningstar.com and NASDAQ.com featured July 27, 2009 stories about the upcoming re-interview of the participants of the 2007 Survey of Consumer Finances (SCF). 

In the story, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke urges all 4,422 of the 2007 SCF respondents to participate in this special 2009 survey. The SCF is generally undertaken every three years but the Fed has decided that the last two years have been so extraordinary that a new survey is needed sooner than planned.
