A. Elizabeth Ormson is a Senior Statistician with NORC at the University of Chicago. She is responsible for sample design and weighting and estimation of large government surveys related to children's health. She has over 10 years of experience as a statisitician working on many aspects of survey methdology
Ormson has provided support for the National Immunization Survey (NIS) suite of projects, most recently leading the statistical team for the State and Local Area Integrated Telephone Survey (SLAITS) projects. She is responsible for sample designs, daily sample management needs, and providing clients with recommendations. Additionally, she has been involved in creating and implementing imputation and weighting plans for both NIS-Teen and SLAITS. She has experience with weighting and estimation for dual-frame landline/cell telephone surveys.
Prior to joining NORC, Ormson worked at Integrated Marketing Solutions, where she was involved in projects that encompassed sample management, weighting and estimation of prescription dispensation and usage, as well as consulting projects related to the pharmaceutical industry such as physician targeting for pharmaceutical sales representatives.
Ms. Ormson has presented at a number of conferences, including the American Statistical Association and the Federal Committee on Statistical Methods Research Conference. Ormson has presented on a number of topics, such as weighting and estimation, non-response analysis, and sample management techniques.
